A morning in the woods...today the hiking group and I stretched our legs at Lick Brook... lots of wild flowers, lots of waterfalls....at it’s sparkling best.
I woke up to this view out the skylight which is directly over my bed. The locust trees are one of the last trees to leaf out, creating a particularly wintery monotone look.
This time of year, can’t get enough. They don’t have dandelions in Texas... so Hannah was sure to weave up a golden halo after amassing plenty of long stem dandies. (Best ones are growing in the shade!)
Asa called to wish me a happy mother’s day while I was discovering this rubarb flower. He advised me to cut the flowers so the plant would put it’s energy into the edible stems. I did... but now it is a shame I won’t see what it looks like in full bloom.
