Back Home
Parallel to Collins Road runs Benson Road....and around 7:00 pm it is a very colorful place.

Battery in a Dark Carport
My car battery died and my sister and I jumped started it (with a neighbor's help), bought a new battery, tried unsuccessfully how to find an official place to install it...no, not quite true found a place fairly close but then the car died again. So decided to install it ourselves, watched a u-tube video and almost had the right tools. I happened to have put Hannah’s tools in my car, what luck! But without a 10 mm we were reduced to using an adjustable. then Bob came along and broke all the rules we so carefully learned...at any rate my car is back on the road!

Westport Alley
See the fusebox on the right wall of the alley?  Can’t tell by looking at it in the first photo,
but it is decked out with stickers and decals.com.

Westport
A few scenes from the town in Connecticut where
I'm working with my sister and cousin on a magazine called The Hub.

monster ants
It’s raining and you know what that means! Invasion! Crouching behind the hydrangea,
the enormous ants, with their antennae and pinchers, are prowling for a good sized crumb.

Reddish
I don't know what the connection is here, but these two elements are perfectly aligned. I’ll go with perfect.

Later
To beat the heat I took a walk later then usual and so ran into “getting dark” and then dark...
plus was treated to a fiesty lightning bug show. These photos were taken during the getting
quickly dark portion of my walk, when deeply saturated colors beckoned.

Corner
This is the corner where I turn to take photos. Walk up Asbury and then turn left onto Collins,
where there is only occasional car traffic and open fields, flowers, sky and funny bits of tossed litter.

Thrown out the window.
Cayuga must be the cigarette of the Seneca Nation, the one on which the NY state gov is always trying
to collect the $4.35 tax per box. The banana peel though slippier has no such controversy.

Smoke Plant
Many years ago, Kent was driving by this house (see upper right-hand corner) and saw smoke and fire pouring out of the garage. He called the fire dept from his first cell phone which was hardwired into his pickup. The unaware owners were across the street eating dinner. The garage had to be rebuilt but the house was saved. A beautiful garden is planted to the side of the garage with this spookily reminiscent smoke plant.

More Litter for Future Archeologists
Two similarly shaped objects found on the side of the road.

Queen Anne’s Lace
Otherwise perfect, the careless lacemaker pricks her finger leaving a drop of blood in the lace’s center.

Frustrated
Lace in a wad.

On the other hand...
Vermeer’s Lacemaker knows what she’s doing, no blood staining here.

My favorite part of this photo are the 3 green leaves coming up from the bottom.

Before and After and In Between
The photo that isn’t here is the one of the huge flames.
